Letter to vicomte Mathieu de Montmorency, [between 1816 and 1821]

François Gérard informs vicomte Mathieu de Montmorency that he is waiting for a patron (name indecipherable) to choose the sitting day at his convenience. The artist is in no hurry, as he has plenty of work. He adds in postscript that he could not visit Mrs. Laval because of tremendous rheumatic pain. Signed and dated 12 Sept.
